i received a letter in the mail today from my mother.
my mother who when growing up a jw was considered a trouble maker.

Ok, I was d'fd, but after a lifetime in the 'troof' my parents have totally cut me off. I really want to write to them regularly but I find that quite hard.They have never contacted me in any way except a short to the point reply to one of my letters, in the past five years.
By the way, at my JC meeting I was told that I was about to sin against the 'spirit' and so there would be no way I would ever be allowed back into Jah's 'loving' organisation.
What I've learnt since I've been out has confirmed any suspicions I had and I wouldn't go back anyway.

Outside the US David Beckham is like gold dust to the marketeers. He already has many endorsements including Pepsi and Gillette which bring him many millions each year. Just by moving to a new club he brings a whole new set of supporters and shirt buyers to the new club and that in itself is worth millions to the club.

David is only getting a portion of the 250million dollars from the soccer club.
It's not obscene at all. David Beckham has become a worldwide brand in his own right and has an A list wife who will enjoy spending their millions in LA, helping the local ecomony. What is wrong with companies like Pepsi paying him 10million a year to promote their products? They obviously get a good return. Good luck to him I say.
